The American Bird Conservancy (ABC) is a non-profit membership organization that focuses on conserving native birds and their natural habitats all over the Americas. It is committed to expelling the threats to birds inhabiting the western hemisphere, including overuse of pesticides, habitat destruction, urban sprawl, and invasive species.

The organization works in cooperation with other agencies and groups that are also dedicated to the advocacy, such as The Bird Conservation Alliance, Fundacion ProAves, Partners in Flight, and North American Bird Conservation Initiative, among others.

Together with the said organizations, ABC has been publishing bird guides, facilitating education activities about the location and construction of wind turbines, and educating farmers to promote bird-friendly agricultural practices.

ABC was founded in 1994 and is headquartered in The Plains, Virginia, United States. It is currently headed by President George H. Fenwick. It has programs in the United States and various countries in Latin America.
