Access to
educational facilities is a major burden for the developing world. Many children in Africa are unable to attend
schools for lack of classrooms. In 2002,
a high school student from Harvard, Massachusetts named Kyla McKenna decided
she would do something about this situation. She put her plan into action and Build a School in Africa
was born. The
organization’s initial goal was to build a single school. They have long since surpassed that, building

A Tradition of Giving Kids a Break
Posted by Charity Watcher on Tuesday, June 25, 2013,
Summertime
can be the best time if you are a child.

Fund has seen this need and met it. The organization takes kids out of the city
and out to homes and summer camps where they can enjoy those hazy lazy days.
In 1877,
