The fate of our planet lies on a balanced ecosystem. Animals
and their habitats must be preserved in order to keep the balance of nature.
One of the species that is very important to the ecosystem is the Bat. Many
people see them as scary creatures or as nuisances, but they are needed to keep
the planet in order.
Bat Conservation
International is a non-profit organization that aims to promote balance in
the Earth’s ecosystem by supporting education and research about bats and
embarks on programs to preserve their habitats and save them from extinction.
The organization was founded in 1982 when scientists all over the world noted
the decrease in the population of bats and found this to be quite alarming
considering the effect their extinction would have on the planet. Today, Bat
Conservation International has the support of members from around 60 countries
across the globe and is run by over 30 administrators, biologists, and
educators.
