Cat Care Society Focuses on Caring for Injured, Abused and Homeless Cats

Founded by Linda East and Lynn Rowe in 1981, the Cat Care Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to the improvement of the quality of life for injured, abused, and homeless cats particularly in the Denver metropolitan area. Since its inception, its goals have essentially remained the same including:
The non-profit organization relies solely on the donations made by loyal members and contributors especially as it does not receive government funding. Volunteers are also known to provide assistance on many of its fundraising activities, which include Meow Mart, Tails of the Painted Cats Gala Dinner and Auction, Paws on the Green Charity Golf Tournament, Colorado Gives Day, and Santa Paws Festival, among others.
The Cat Care Society offers the following services, too:
- The sponsorship of education programs for adults and children that promote human animal treatment, responsible pet ownership, and elimination of pet overpopulation;
- The provision of shelter for cats especially in a healthy cage-free environment including finding responsible pet owners for every cat;
- The delivery of community outreach programs designed to improve the quality of life for people and cats; and

The Cat Care Society offers the following services, too:
- Full-service expert veterinary care in its cat clinic
- Food and cat litter for pet owners who require temporary assistance in its Nibbles 'n' Kibbles food bank
- Spay and neuter assistance (i.e., services offered at a discount for low-income individuals)
- Shelter for cats whose owners are temporarily unable to provide care, such as in the case of natural disasters, foreclosure, and extended medical stay
