Every day, 42 children are diagnosed with cancer.
CureSearch, also known as the National Childhood Cancer
Foundation, seeks effective treatment for the various types of cancer among
children and, thus, lessen the physical and mental anguish experienced by these
patients and their families.
The national non-profit foundation provides funding for
innovative research into cancer treatments as well as serves as the authoritative
source for resources, information and support for interested individuals. Its
methods have been proven effective in its mission although scientists have yet
to find a cure for cancer, said methods of which include accelerating the
search for a cure, supporting enrollment of children in clinical trials, and
providing educational resources.
CureSearch has, indeed, provided afflicted children and
their families with hope of overcoming the odds, a hope that children with the
highest risk are in need of. Every cent that compassionate donors make to the
non-profit foundation is accounted for with majority of it spent on pertinent
research; Charity Navigator rates it 3 out of 4 stars for its excellence in the
field.
