Denver Kids, Inc. has an ambitious goal: To support the K-12 students in the Denver Public Schools whose personal life challenges coupled with their high-risk environment place them at greater risk to fail in school or drop out of it. By providing effective, responsive and compassionate support, the non-profit organization aims to usher its beneficiaries toward higher education including completing high school and pursuing post-secondary options. As such, the students can eventually become productive members of their community.

Indeed, the organization recognizes that every student counts and that every student has the right to graduate from high school, among others.

At the core of The Denver Kids’ programs are the educational counsellors who provide the crucial one-on-one support for their caseloads, which averages 45-55 students. By providing the students with personalized support, the educational counsellors empower students to succeed in their personal, social and academic lives. They also interact with other stakeholders including the school personnel, mentors, and families as well as community members and government agencies to provide holistic support for students.
