Poverty is one of the most prevalent and most enduring issues affecting humanity all over the world. Western and Eastern countries are affected albeit in different degrees and manners but the bottom line is: No country can claim to be completely free of poverty.

Fortunately, the likes of EnterpriseWorks/VITA (EWV) have several programs designed to combat poverty in countries like Nigeria, Tanzania and Ghana as well as in the Philippines, Guinea and Nepal, among others. The programs are based on sustainable, profitable and enterprise-oriented solutions that promote economic development in the beneficiary areas and, thus, enhancing the quality of life among individuals and their families via entrepreneurship and employment.

EnterpriseWorks/VITA (EWV) maintains several programs in the following areas:

Water and Sanitation (i.e., Water Filters for Households, GRIP in Ghana)

Natural Resources (i.e., Wetlands International, CBFM Project)

Agribusiness (i.e., Tree Crop Project, Microenterprise Development)
