Founded in 1949, the Episcopal Church Foundation (ECF) has been and continues to be at the forefront of effective, efficient and responsive response to the changing needs of the Episcopal Church. Furthermore, the foundation continues to meet its challenges head on and, in so doing, also evolve and adapt to the changing demands of its ministry.

Aside from the wide array of development programs, products and services regarding leadership and finances, the non-profit foundation has also made the following achievements:

  • Assisted in the creation of the Alban Institute
  • Supported the founding of the Church Deployment Office
  • Created the Fellowship Partners Program

  • Supported Godly Play, which enhances the children’s spiritual life
  • Established the Cornerstone Project, which explored issues about congregational and clergy health
  • Assisted in the creation of the College for Bishops, in sponsoring the Episcopal Network for Stewardship (TENS), and in supporting the Consortium of Endowed Episcopal Parishes (CEEP)
