HopeKids lives up to its name of restoring hope and transforming the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions, as well as their families and communities. The tax-exempt, non-profit organization was founded in 2001 for this sole purpose.

In line with its vision, HopeKids provides children and their families with a wide range of ongoing events and activities as well as a powerful support community. Indeed, its work among the children, families and communities has proven that a strong feeling of hope can be as powerful as medicine itself.

HopeKids has five main projects focusing in the following areas of impact:
  • Hope and Anticipation. HopeKids offers a calendar of events designed to keep the focus of children and their families on a better future.
  • Family Focus. HopeKids organizes events that bring families together when the circumstances surrounding their present plight threaten to tear them apart.
  • Community and Support. HopeKids builds programs that provide families with a supportive environment where motivation and inspiration are encouraged.
  • Safety and Acceptance. HopeKids ensures that all kids feel safe and accepted regardless of their limitations, thus, fostering a feeling of belongingness.
  • Economic Support. HopeKids offers all of its programs free of charge to the entire family, thus, easing their financial burden.
The charitable organization has several programs in relation to these five areas of impact. First, the HopeDay Program, a monthly activity consisting of theater shows, sporting events, museum, activities, and concerts, among others, for the entire family. Second, the HopeCommunity Program where the children and their families come together to meet, support and encourage each other is a popular aspect of its services.

Donations are welcome at HopeKids since the services offered are free of charge for the beneficiaries. Volunteers are also welcome to do their share in restoring hope to those who need it the most.
