For nearly two decades now, Human Relief Foundation (HRF) has been a pillar of hope and an instrument to save lives in the poorest regions of the world. Since its founding in 1991, this non-profit organization has been consistently working on their commitment to provide developmental programs and relief to local communities.

The creation of a better life and finding solutions to global issues has been part of the focus of HRF. This international non-governmental organization is a registered charity in the UK Charity Commission. They have been providing assistance and emergency relief to people who are caught in life-threatening situations. The last war in Iraq has opened the eyes of the organization to the strong need for training courses for Iraqi doctors. Because of this need, they have deployed a substantial number of medical practitioners to train these doctors in various subjects. The deteriorating condition of the country has remained in the watchful eyes of the group. As part of their efforts to help out, they have aimed to train 5,000 doctors to update them of any advanced medical knowledge.

HRF was created to provide aid and alleviate the suffering of the people in Iraq because of the war. Since its creation, it has expanded its presence across the globe in areas where help is badly needed. Its humanitarian activities are incorporated with conflict transformation, diplomacy, and development cooperation. They are able to easily mobilize their people to provide aid because of its strategic locations in seven cities around the world. It has a partnership with the European Commission Humanitarian Aid (ECHO) and is a member of the British Overseas National Development Forum (BOND).

Headquartered in Bradford, England, HRF is considered as one of the largest charitable institution in the United Kingdom. They are also among the first charities to work in raising the much needed £500,000 for those who were affected by the earthquake in Sri Lanka in 2004.
