Avon Products, Inc. takes pride in being the company for women. Its non-profit foundation, the Avon Foundation for Women, follows the path set by the multinational corporation – to promote the scientific, humanitarian, and educational as well charitable activities that improve the quality of life among women and their families.

As part of its current mission, the foundation leads or joins in the efforts of the public and private sectors in the following three areas:

Breast cancer. The foundation is committed to finding a cure for breast cancer and providing assistance for its patients and survivors as well as in promoting prevention awareness. It has and continues to provide tremendous support for these initiatives, thus, earning it the respect of other breast cancer-related organizations.

Domestic violence. The foundation’s Speak Out Against Violence program has a strong presence and impact in almost all 50 states in the United States. Its beneficiaries have expressed their gratitude for the life-changing assistance and awareness provided to them – truly, a testament to its efficacy in this area.

Assistance in crises situations. The foundation addresses the needs of women and their families who are affected by natural disasters and crises, along with other national and international agencies. It has extended assistance to people in the Philippines after Typhoon Yolanda and Haiti after the destructive earthquake, among others.

The Avon Foundation’s success can be attributed partly to its dedicated men and women and partly to its four-pronged approach to its mission. Its strategy involves funding the most promising initiative; convening the stakeholders including the grantees and partners in collaborating and sharing best practices; initiating new directions including innovative projects; and educating the general public to change societal behaviors.

For the past 50 years and counting, the Avon Foundation has improved the lives of women and their families from modest donations ranging from $5 to $10 – and that’s sufficient reason to contribute to the foundation, now.
