A family enterprise that has grown to become one of the most successful furniture retailers in the nation, Hank's Fine Furniture opened its first store in Sherwood, Arkansas nearly forty years ago. Stocking a thoughtfully culled selection of merchandise for the home and office, the company’s Founder and current President Hank Browne quickly established himself as a local business leader thanks to his uncompromising standards of excellence regarding product quality and customer service. As time passed, Mr. Browne built additional locations throughout Arkansas, Alabama, Missouri, Florida, and Texas, each new gallery filled with both affordable and prestigious brand names to fit any lifestyle and budget.

Well known as an active philanthropist who has supported a wide array of commendable causes over the course of his career, Hank Brown recently took advantage of a wonderful opportunity to make a difference in the lives of hearing impaired children. In September 2011, he held a yearly anniversary sale at Hank’s Fine Furniture in Little Rock, Arkansas, an event that received spotlight media coverage and generated considerable profits for the company. Approximately two months later, Mr. Browne announced plans to donate $20,000 from the sale to the Arkansas Children’s Hospital, the culmination of a three-year charitable endeavor to fund the construction of a research facility for the institution’s Audiology and Speech Pathology Clinic.

With projected completion in the summer of 2012, the state-of-the-art research suite at the Arkansas Children’s Hospital will contain an integrated sound booth and control area for examinations. Designed with plenty of space for extra equipment, the retooled South Wing of the Arkansas Children’s Hospital will provide an ideal venue for physicians to advance their study of pediatric hearing impairments. Although this latest contribution Hanks Fine Furniture made to the hospital is considerable, it pales in comparison to the amount the company has donated in the past two decades. A tradition that Hank’s Furniture hopes to continue long into the future, supporting the Arkansas Children’s Hospital with anniversary sale proceeds has thus far funneled more than $500,000 to positively impact the lives of sick or physically challenged children.
