Matthew 25: Ministries was founded by Reverend Wendell Mettey who was inspired to find effective ways to help the Nicaraguan people. Since its inception in 1991, the international humanitarian aid and disaster relief organization has established strategic partnerships with corporations, organizations, and non-government agencies in collecting and distributing millions of pounds of excess products to people in need. Basically, the organization solicits and collects excess products from manufacturers and corporations as well as the general public; sorts the items and organizes them for shipment in its warehouse and repacking facility; and distributes them to the Global Village, among other pre-identified beneficiaries.

Matthew 25 runs several programs with the primary program being Caring For a Needy World With the Things We Throw Away. The program involves the distribution of clothing, personal care items, medical supplies, food and beverages, school supplies, cleaning products, household supplies, and micro-enterprise supplies to families and individuals.

Other programs include Food Processing Center, Grow Right Micronutrient Supplement, and Write Your Future, to name a few.
