The Medic One Foundation, a non-profit organization, supports world-class training and continuing education for paramedics; advanced research in healthcare delivery methods to save more lives; state-of-the-art emergency medical equipment; and review of Medic One’s medical performance particularly in terms of patient outcomes and survival rates. The Foundation achieves all of these goals mainly through individual and organizational contributions.

By improving emergency medical services via funds for EMS research, paramedic training, and emergency equipment to fire departments, the Foundation promotes its mission of saving more lives. It works in partnership with several independent organizations including Harborview Medical Center, University of Washington, and EMS providers across the region, all of which support the Foundation’s thrust for the highest possible quality of emergency medical services.

Indeed, Medic One boasts of having the world’s best medical emergency care record, such as a 62% shockable cardiac arrest in comparison with less than 10% in major cities.
