Successful journeyman carpenter, entrepreneur, and businessman Kevin Craffey, owner and operator of several development, general contracting, and carpentry businesses based in New England, shares his success through his support of charities dear to his heart. The son and grandson of carpentry-union presidents, he understands the value of hard work, commitment, and dedication. As such, Kevin Craffey particularly supports the men and women who serve our country in military service; and youth, our hope for the future. Benefiting from his generosity are the Nathan Hale Foundation and youth in Coös County, New Hampshire.

The Nathan Hale Foundation, established in 2006, supports Veterans Outreach Centers to assist American troops and their families, primarily those facing hardships. In addition to providing transportation for medical appointments and painting and arts and crafts classes, the centers maintain wellness food pantries, organize day outings, and hold Veterans Appreciation Dinners. In addition, the Veterans Outreach Centers of the Nathan Hale Foundation provide employment services and combat/post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) counseling. All services are offered free to veterans and their family members.

Kevin Craffey also has supported youth programs in Coös County, New Hampshire, where he purchased and renovated the storied Mountain View Grand Hotel. Coös County, bordering Canada, became the state’s first county when the young nation gained its independence. Early inhabitants included the Abnaki Indians and courageous and hardy settlers. Today, the county comprises nearly 20 percent of New Hampshire land mass but holds only 2.6 percent of the population, a resilient population and all the more reason Kevin Craffey has assisted area youth. A Boston native, he began his own career as an apprentice for a lathing and plastering firm in North Dartmouth, Massachusetts, and went on to found several companies, including one that renovates and builds additions on malls and big-box stores nationwide.
