It is the nightmare of every parent
to have a child who has given in to the temptation of illegal drugs and
alcohol. When their child’s addiction starts during adolescence, which happens 90
percent of the time, parents are left confused and afraid of what might happen.
Offering support and guidance is The Partnership at Drugfree.org, a non-profit organization that
helps parents find a more effective treatment for their troubled child.
It all began when a group of
advertising professionals got together to think of the best solution to the
nation’s growing drug problems. The year was 1986 when the idea became a
reality with the birth of the organization. Since then, The Partnership has
been developing programs that give parents the help they need in preventing,
intervening, and finding treatment for their child’s drug or alcohol
dependency. To give and get involved in their fight against addiction,
people can make individual donations or hold grassroots fundraising events with
the org as the beneficiary.
The Partnership at Drugfree.org is
here for both parents and troubled children as their partner to stop addiction.
