Junior Achievement of New York Empowers the Youth for Their Future

January 16, 2015

The youth is the future of our nation. This is an oft-repeated adage that the Junior Achievement of New York (JA New York) takes to heart because, indeed, the youth of today will be the leaders of tomorrow – and the leaders of today must prepare them for success in the global economy.

JA New York, a non-profit organization, connects their volunteers with students in all K-12 grades with the purpose of providing them with the knowledge, skills and confidence to become successful individuals, both in their future careers and lives. The volunteers typically engage the students in in-class activities and after-school programs, both approved by the school administrators, as well as workplace experiences.

By empowering young people today, JA New York aims to encourage and inspire young people to claim their social and economic success. Of course, the present is just as important as the future so students are also provided with the knowledge and skills to make smart academic choices.
