Need Him: Opening Conversations To and About Jesus

August 14, 2015
In 1996, several Christian ministries came together in response to a survey stating that over one-third of Christians listening to a radio program did not have a Christ-centered relationship with God. The ministries decided to put up 60-second radio spots to provide the audience with Gospel messages and a toll-free hotline for listeners to express their thoughts on the current message.

The hotline was 888-NEED-HIM FREE, which has been used by the Need Him organization for its radio and television shows since then. The non-profit Christian organization has also adapted to technology, thus, the audience can also chat and text as well as post on social media their thoughts about Jesus and their faith, among others. The open conversation about Jesus has opened up many Christians to a deeper relationship with Jesus.

Trained volunteers man the toll-free hotline number as well as the other forms of communication via a virtual response center. Anonymity is guaranteed, too.
