BrazilFoundation: Transforming Brazil

BrazilFoundation has a single-minded focus: To mobilize and use resources that contribute to Brazil’s transformation. The non-profit organization works with a wide range of local, national and international network of individual and organizational supporters in the promotion of its core values. These include social justice and equal rights, integrity and transparency, and economic opportunities for Brazilians, said goals of which are achieved through peaceful means including dialogues, cooperation and collaboration.

Established in 2000, the BrazilFoundation continues to contribute toward the positive transformation of Brazilian society. In its pursuit of generating resources that social entrepreneurs can use, the non-profit organization has raised more than $30 million as well as supported over 4000 social impact projects in education, culture, health, human rights, and participatory development.

Grantees are provided with financial support for their projects. Communities are provided with the knowledge and skills for their empowerment, such as in better access to products and services as well as in a stronger sense of responsibility for their own development.
