Established in 1919 in the United Kingdom, Save the Children Fund is a non-governmental organization that is also active internationally. This charitable organization is focused on the promotion of the rights of children. 

The group provides relief and assistance to children in various developing countries through health care, better education, economic opportunities, aid in natural disasters, various conflicts and war. There are about 30 national groups that functions under the Save the Children International organization. Their support covers about 120 countries and enforces the UN Declaration of the Rights of the Child. It was the vision of sisters Eglantyne Jebb and Dorothy Buxton in 1919 that started the ball rolling. Their goal was to achieve and protect the rights of children which survived until the second decade of the 21st century. 

Save the Children Fund receives support from various partners, trusts and ambassadors. Some known personalities also have become a champion of the organization’s vision. Celebrities like Isla Fisher, Erin O’ Connor, Paul O’Grady and Samantha Cameron supports the cause of this charitable organization.
