The Swedish billionaire, Ingvar Kamprad, the founder of well loved brand IKEA created the Stichting INGKA Foundation. This institution is considered as second largest nonprofit organization in the world and is ranked as one of the largest charitable foundations as of. 

Stichting is a Dutch word for foundation and INGKA is the contraction of the founder’s name whose main objective of creating the organization is to promote and support innovation in various fields of interest in interior design and architecture. The foundation is also the owner of the Dutch company INGKA Holding which serves as the holding company of the 207 out of the 235 outlets of IKEA. The organization has made a substantial contribution to organizations like the UNDP, UNICEF, UNHCR and Save the Children. It also helped the Dadaab refugee camp in Kenya with their 40 million euro donations. 

The magazine The Economist has estimated the net worth of the organization to be around $36 billion as of 2006.
