It is a common knowledge that several artists working on their respective fields cannot support themselves financially. Many of them had to take other jobs in shops, schools and restaurants just to keep up with the demands of day-to-day life, leaving them only a small amount of time to create what could’ve been masterpieces and iconic works. Such need for support is something the entire world is familiar with. Throughout history, affluent citizens commissioned artists to create magnificent works, the church funded legendary painters, and governments in several countries established programs that supported artists. Even the United States has a century’s worth of art funding. However, it has been a story of rise and fall, something that artists cannot rely solely on.

The distressing financial plight that exists among artists was further compounded by a landmark study which showed that more than 96% of Americans appreciate and value the arts in their respective communities but only 27% give importance to the people behind them.

A group of people recognized such quandary and decided that it is time to come into full-circle once again. They founded the United States Artists and started constructing proper working places, offering affordable health care insurances, providing funding and creating sustainable programs that support artists in various ways. The organization invests on America’s most talented artists in various fields and aims to underscore their value in the society. Moreover, United States Artists offers cash grants, honors and awards artists’ unique visions at different areas, regardless of whether one is still emerging or already established.

No doubt, the United States Artists has instigated a solution that would put an end to the fiscal predicaments that placed many artists on hold and started closing the gaping hole that exists between the love for the arts and the indifference towards those who made them.
