Like the rest of us, people
with learning disabilities or any other type of physical impairment should get
an equal chance at education and employment. Unfortunately, there aren’t many
schools that offer specialized training and employment opportunities to those
who can’t get it any other way.
The Where Next
Association believes that physical disabilities should not be a
hindrance to achieve a normal life. The association was founded in 1984 with
the goal of improving the lives of those whose ability to make a living is
hampered by learning or physical disabilities. They provide their beneficiaries
with employment opportunities in actual work environments like jobs at plant
nurseries, factories, and doing garden maintenance work. They also provide
skills training for those who have no prior work experience or training, or
those who want to expand their horizons and find employment elsewhere. These
activities help them regain a sense of purpose and a boost in confidence and self-esteem.
